SEW * CRAFT * DESIGN * INSPIRE * LEARN
I'm not gonna be long because I'm feeling cruddy with a cold/sinus infection, ugghhh!!! However, I wanted to share what I've been doing this week. I finally got the buttons/buttonholes on the vest and closed it up. This is the vest that I started here:
(read the beginning of the story here)
The vest came out great and he really loved it. Now, he wants me to make him another vest with a matching set of pants that he wants me to remake from a pair he owns....I DON"T SEW FOR MEN....at least not until now. I only made clothes for my husband and two boys.....stay tuned...until then, here's the front and back of the vest:
Next up is something that I have not done for a long while, I'm talking years...that's sew for my husband. He wanted a yellow tie for church tomorrow. so, I said, let's go to the fabric store and get the fabric, I'll make you one. You would have thought he was a kid in a candy store.
Joann's close at 8pm. we left the house at 7pm. I came home, threw the fabric in the dryer, pressed it, cut the tie out and put it together by 10pm. He was so happy!!!
Besides sewing for the men folk, I was able to get in a top for myself before work on Thursday. It was very quick...and it was one of those fabrics that I held for years because I didn't want to make it wrong. So, I took the advice of some of my sewing pals and just did it! And, I LOVE IT!! I even made a matching infinity scarf to go with it.
Ugh, once Iocate my pictures, I'll share them. But, I used McCall's 6571.....
