This is the latest project that I've been working on...remaking a man's vest. He brought one of his favorite vests to me ( completely stitched), and brought along with it a vest that was completely taken apart, by him.

"I want you to make me a vest JUST LIKE the one I have taken apart.

So, I created a pattern from the detached vest and now I'm almost done with his new vest:

Sneak preview:

Now, just need to close the sides and add buttons/button holes....

Thanks Bobbett and Kathy!

I never really liked sewing for me because my expertise is in sewing bridal and formal wear for women. However, I would sew for my husband all the time , making his dress shirts, ties, vests, even a couple of dinner jackets. I stopped. He's been asking me to make him more vests. So, now sine he's seen this, he definitely wants me to make his vest. I guess I'm in!

Sometimes I charge for making a paper pattern and give it to them for the future always hoping they will find another seamstress or I keep it and don't charge...it depends doesn't it?
